FAQ

  • What platforms do you support?

We currently support Windows and MacOS. We are planning on supporting iOS in the future.

  • Is your software free?

The core features of EmailSubjectModifier are for free and will always be.

  • What email providers can your program work with?

Our application uses the IMAP protocol to communicate with the email server. Thus, any email provider that allows an IMAP connection (almost all do!) will work.
Sidenote: we currently support only password-based authentication, but we will be soon integrating the OAuth2 mechanism for Gmail accounts.

  • Upon installation, your software is detected as untrustworthy. Should I care?

No. Most operating systems and antivirus software regard EmailSubjectModifier as untrustworthy because the executable file has not undergone the process of obtaining a "Trusted code signing certificate." The sole reason for this is the high cost associated with the process, and EmailSubjectModifier is currently offered to the public for free, without any source of revenue (not even advertising!).
If you are using Windows, it is suggested to add C:\Program Files (x86)\EmailSubjectModifier to your antivirus exceptions.
